Big Picture Event Reviews From Our Clients
Mark & Katie,
"I wanted to congratulate you on the level of service and hospitality
at your establishment, it is a rare experience to enjoy the level of
care your staff puts into their relationship with every customer. From
the moment we walked in the door they were dedicated to serving us and
making our experience at "The Big Picture" the most enjoyable
night-out at the movies that we have ever had! The drinks were great,
the popcorn was delicious, and the atmosphere was out standing. Our
entire group will be singing your praises for a long time to come and
will defiantly be making a return visit in the near future."
I just wanted to compliment you for the wonderful time we had at your Redmond location last night. We came to see "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage" and we were extremely
impressed with your staff, comfortable seats and the tasty bottle of wine that we enjoyed. I thought it was extra cool that your people made sure that everyone had a chance
to hit the bar, the bathroom, and get settled comfortably before firing up the film. Your staff definitely picked up on our enthusiasm for the film and it made for a fun atmosphere.
As your staff has probably noticed, Rush fans are very devoted. Most of us have been addicted to the band for 30 years or more. We have been counting the days until this
film was released, and getting to watch it in such a nice venue enhanced the experience immeasurably. My girlfriend is not a huge fan of Rush, but she supports my addiction.
Today she just went on and on about what a nice evening last night turned out to be. Your theater had a lot to do with that.
I will be sure to check your website regularly for other events that interest us and I will tell my friends about what a nice experience we had."

I’m sure the praises for last night’s Big Picture event are still echoing around Seattle. They
certainly are at our Red Cross offices!!! What a wonderful event! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!
I wanted to send you a quick note to commend Big Picture on such a fabulous evening last night! David (your manager)
did a great job checking in throughout the evening to make sure things were running smooth and if there was anything we needed.
Anytime I was near the bar I noticed people didn't have to wait for service, there were always multiple people willing to take
a drink order. The place stayed impeccably tidy throughout the evening.
We received multiple compliments on the venue from our members. Many of whom, didn't know of your venue prior but
look forward to returning soon. In fact, we even had a few people request future events at the Big Picture!
We appreciated your coordination of the dry erase board, drink menu/tickets and referring us to your caterer.
Thank you again...and GREAT job!"

"I just wanted to send my own personal thanks to you, Mark, and your charming wife, Katie, for so generously
and graciously hosting our Professionals in Action event last evening. You did a terrific job, Mark,
telling your personal story. I especially liked your emphasis and repetition of the 'Power of Yes!'
As you know so well, the 'power of yes' is the mantra of improv! When I took one of my first improv
classes, that was the profound 'take away' – how often, and quickly we say no!
To say, 'Yes!' takes courage and often, a leap into the unknown. Your business story and your
Katrina fund raising events story model the wisdom and importance of saying, 'Yes!' even when things
As a fund raiser, I know a great deal about rejection. I especially loved your story of using
rejection in Chicago as an impetus to find a new market that would say, 'Yes!' I’m so glad
that market was Seattle and that we have had the good fortune to meet one another through
the kindness and wisdom of Simon Pritikin. Thank you, Simon!
I am reminded of a quote from a wonderful poem, "The Invitation," by Oriah Mountain Dreamer:
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
Ultimately, life does come down to building and maintaining relationships and saying 'Yes' when 'No'
would have been much easier.
Thank you, again, Mark, for your kindness, generosity and joie de vivre! With all good wishes for all
your business ventures and the fulfillment of all your dreams,"

"I’ll add to the chorus of praise and echo what we talked about last night! This event
was such a tremendous opportunity for both of us and it is only the tip of the iceberg.
You inspired us with the Power of Yes and your reflective presentation. I’m honored that
this event provided you an opportunity to reflect on what it meant for you to engage
with the Red Cross and I know that as we move forward we will create new opportunities
for accomplish common goals while inspiring the community to give back!
Have a wonderful day! "
I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you for making my party a success! Everyone had a great time and
I really appreciate all the work you did to make it happen. Being new to this group, I had a hard time
reading what everyone wanted and the bottom line is, I wanted them to mingle, talk, laugh and enjoy the
people they were socializing with. You and Katie made an event that accomplished all that and more. Thanks
again, and I look forward to doing business with you again."
"The theatre was perfect for our CD demo, our CEO's speech and
the comedy group that later performed."
"Thank everyone on your staff for making everyone feel so
welcome and the event run so smoothly."
"I just want to thank you and Mark for a job so incredibly well done last night. We really, really
enjoyed ourselves and we got a fabulous response from our guests! Thanks for all your hard work
and diligence on the Scene It? Party! I look forward to our next event at Big Picture."
"Thank you for an absolutely fantastic event! Our group talked about it way into the evening and
I’m sure we’ll still be discussing it come Monday with everyone that didn’t show up! Our event went
off without a hitch! What wonderful customer service from all of you. Truly an amazing place, concept
and spectacular event! Thanks again for everything. We had so much fun and will recommend you
"Just letting you guys know that we have had nothing but positive feedback from my group about
the party we had yesterday. We’ve even had guys who said that that was the best moral event they’ve
had working here. A lot of people were impressed with the venue and they had such a great time.
Thanks again for taking care of everything. I thought it went flawlessly and it was just perfect. I was
very, very happy how it all turned out. A big fan"
"In Seven years of working for non profits and helping plan events, your staff ranks with the best that
I have personally dealt with. After my initial meeting with Katie, I did not feel any hesitation in how
the event would be handled, and I will gladly recommend the Big Picture to other companies and non profits
for their events"
"Hi Mark and Katie,
I just want to thank you for a wonderful time yesterday afternoon. Our group has gone through many
changes and challenges over the last few months, and accolades are flowing in that the afternoon was
exactly what was needed. Our event set the perfect tone for relaxation, conversation and getting to know
one another better…and the handwriting analyst was a hit! Our group enjoyed every moment, and your
hospitality and focus on detail was impeccable. Once again, it was a memorable experience. Thanks for
making the event great!"
