Clients tell us that they feel Big Picture helps inspire creativity during their meetings and encourages interaction and relaxation during social functions. Our unique venues also lend themselves to creating themed events. Below we share a few ideas:
On Screen Photo Tribute
Create a multi-media tribute to celebrate a birthday honoree, corporate milestone or bride and groom, and show it on the big screen for your guests to enjoy.
 |
Bring in your own themed cake like "The Dude" (aka Jeff Bridges) from The Big Lebowski. |
Private Movie Screenings
Pick a favorite movie and build a theme around it. We can play Blu-Ray and DVD movies - simply bring your selection. We can order movie posters for you and place them
in the entry poster case, at the end of the party, raffle off the posters. Reinforce the theme through music selection in the lounge. Some popular movie choices include:
- James Bond themes including 007 Martinis (shaken, not stirred).
- Casablanca - who can resist the elegance of Bogart ?
Improv Team building
Perfect for a team building event or for a memorable private party.
Improvisation is a unique art form that teaches agreement, honesty, intelligence and support. Through this one and a half hour class you will learn how to be more
spontaneous, find new ways to communicate and most importantly, learn how to adapt to ever-changing situations and your environment. The skills you hone in each
class will also assist in enhancing your collaborative skills and make you a more confident public speaker. Study under master improv instructor Gary Schwartz, a
multi-talented, award-winning actor, writer and director with more than 35 years experience teaching acting and improv to beginners and fellow professionals.
Gary's mentor and teacher was Viola Spolin, known as the mother of Improvisation. In the 1950’s, she and her son Paul Sills developed the first improv group
in the United States that later became Chicago's famed Second City which produced such notable stars as; Dan Ackroyd, Gilda Radner, Mike Meyers, Tina Fey,
Bill Murray, Alan Alda, Joan Rivers, John Candy, Chris Farley, Stephen Colbert and John and Jim Belushi.
Casino Night
Whether you prefer Roulette, Black Jack or Baccarat the stakes are the same – a little healthy competition can be a whole lot of fun. Challenge each individual or team
to win the most “money”. At night’s end, the high rollers trade “money” for prizes. Show Casino Royale or a vintage Bond movie to reinforce the theme and play cool
jazz in the lounge.
Multiplayer Gaming Events
Bring in your favorite game console (Xbox 360, PlayStation, Wii, etc.) and connect it to our digital projector for unbelievable large-screen interactive experiences. The whole theater can watch as well as participate. Internet access is also available to provide live online gaming and downloading of the latest games. You could plan a get-together with an Xbox LIVE party and enjoy a night of movies and games with friends and family.
Live Performances
Host your own “unplugged” style concert experience. The intimacy of our theatre creates a dynamic that is absolutely incredible. Acoustical treatment guarantees that the
performance sounds amazingly clear and rich. We can arrange for a videographer to record the performance and play it back simultaneously on the screen behind the performers.
Guests dance in the front theatre area, in the aisles or simply soak up the experience in one of our plush theatre seats. Martinis and music – what an awesome combination!
DJ Parties
To keep the energy high and your guests moving, look into arranging for a DJ that will keep you grooving all
night long. Pick a campy Elvis movie and show it on the screen behind the dance floor.
Cooking Demonstrations
A wonderful team building and mouth-watering experience! The chef sets up a portable kitchen at the front of the theatre. Greet your guests with a glass of champagne,
usher them into the theatre and let them watch the experts work their magic! Spend on hour being tempted by the heady food scents and beautiful food, then wander into the
lounge and enjoy a buffet brimming with all the food showcased by the chef.
Sporting Events
Build a theme around football, baseball and basketball games – and don’t forget the World Series, Superbowl and Championship games! Guests will enjoy the game on our
20-foot wide theatre screen where every seat offers a skybox view. Offer your guests a buffet that captures the spirit of the sport.
